Apostate Verity is an adult-oriented 2D action game. You play as Verity, a battle nun fighting through a plague-ridden dark fantasy world with demanding, Sekiro-inspired combat—blocking, parrying, and reading enemy patterns matter more than button mashing.
Tone
Oppressive atmosphere, extreme challenge, and R18 content. The public demo showcases core combat and the first major boss—not a full campaign yet.

Controls & combat basics

Default bindings use keyboard and mouse. Download v0.1.10 supports key rebinding; the Web demo may not.

  • Movement: WASD or arrow keys (check in-game tutorial).
  • Attack, dodge, block, and parry use separate keys—read the tutorial prompts before the first fight.
  • Parry windows are tight; watch for enemy wind-up animations rather than spamming dodge.
  • Healing has a startup—do not panic-heal mid-combo unless you have space.

Web demo vs Windows download

  • Browser play opens the itch-hosted Unity WebGL build—convenient, but may lag on weak devices.
  • Windows download (v0.1.10) includes key rebinding and is the version KitDa recommends for longer sessions.
  • Get builds only from https://kitda-games.itch.io/apostate-verity—avoid third-party mirrors.

Mobile & fake APK warnings

  • There is no official Android or iOS release. KitDa Games has said a mobile port is possible if demand is high, but nothing is announced.
  • Sites advertising “Apostate Verity APK” often bundle the Windows build or worse—do not install random APK files.
  • Some players use PC emulators on phones; that is unsupported and awkward for a three-button combat scheme.
  • For phones, the browser demo may load but controls are difficult—PC or Web on desktop is smoother.
